More Great Eats and Sweet Treats

We’re keeping the tradition going with our lovely employee lunches. We plan to continue providing more on these savory vegan meals, including tips on how you can make them yourselves, so stay tuned!  Our resident dessert maker Christina Oh has also started up her own blog based on the yummy desserts you see here. To read more about her sugary confections check out the Pastry Pit blog HERE.

Falafel sandwiches with peanut sauce, diced veggies and hummus….don’t forget the fresh salad!

Chocolate cupcakes masquerading as ice cream cones, with vegan whipped cream, sprinkles and cherries.

Rice patties cooked up with peppers, onions and mushrooms in a spicy sauce, and fragrant strawberry short cakes with mint and lemon zest-infused, frosting centers!

The sweet smells of strawberries and a cool breeze! Mr.Byron was ready for nap time after yet another scrumptious 6DollarShirts lunch. Thanks again to Austin Abbott for continuing to cook up such amazing meals.

Sweet Cheeseburgers!!!!

In case you guys didn’t already know, we’ve been eating some scrumptious vegan-fare here at 6DollarShirts, and it just keeps on getting better. We thought we’d give you a little taste of today’s meal; rice with sauteed veggies and tofu, topped with a peanut sauce that had just the right amount of spicy goodness! The meal today was finished off with cheeseburger cupcakes (also vegan and also yummy) made by our own Christina Oh. On top of working hard in the shipping department here, Christina is also an excellent baker and has been providing sweet treats to the 6DollarShirts staff for a while. It you think these cheeseburger cupcakes look delicious, stick around because we’ll be featuring even more of Christina’s dessert recipes and photos for you to feast your eyes on, and maybe even try your hand at.

The Tower of Tees!!!!

Ever wonder who mailed you that awesome t-shirt you love to wear? When you receive your order the lovely folks over in shipping are responsible for the love and care that went into packaging it. They work hard, and as proof here’s a shot of Christina standing up to quite a tall order of tees. She made it through the pile though and thanks to her hard work, and bravery against the tower of tees, ya’ll are able to enjoy your favorite 6DollarShirts tees. Thanks Christina and to all the peeps that work hard to get these orders sent!

That's a tall order!

Lunch #2=Nom, nom, nom!

Employee lunch number two was yet another success here at 6DollarShirts. Austin Abbott was once again on hand to wow us with more delectable vegan-friendly dishes. Today’s selection included pesto-dressed pasta mixed with peppers, asparagus and sun-dried tomatoes; fresh salads topped with tomatoes, apples and nuts; along with slices of marinated portobello mushrooms. And so it is with satisfied appetites that we are able to go back to work and continue to bring you guys the shirts you love at delicious prices.

First Employee Lunch

We’re starting a new tradition here at 6DollarShirts….LUNCH! Well maybe that tradition isn’t new, but the tradition of employee lunches at 6DollarShirts is. We’re going to start having fresh, hot lunches made for everyone to sit and enjoy together here at 6DollarShirts. For our first lunch we had the talented Austin Abbott create some delicious vegan fare for burritos. Employees got to fill tortillas with fresh guacamole, beans, rice, seasoned TVP and more. We’ll let the pics of all the deliciousness speak for themselves, but this is definitely one tradition we plan to continue!

The internet knows that we’re the harbingers of high brow hilarity. We suspect that our fans may possess the same sophisticated merriment. We would like to give YOU a chance to strut your stuff in the communications department. We are holding a contest for writing the best shipment notification. The rules are quite simple:

  • -Stay on topic: Its a notification that needs to let our customers know that their order has shipped!
  • -Respect all cultures: Our fan base is worldly diverse and we will not accept anything that we rule [too] offensive to any culture.
  • -We want a notification, not a book. Keep it simple!
  • -Be simultaneously hilarious and informative.

You must make use of the following tags:

  • <FullName>
  • <PostmarkDate>

Below is an example of last year’s holiday notification, which was a HUGE Success!

A holiday shipment notification for you, <FullName>;

‘Twas the weeks before Christmas, when you ordered a tee

Time was a-ticking for holiday delivery!

On <PostmarkDate>, we hand-picked and packed your order with care

In hopes it’d be fresh when it got there

Your stuff was nestled all snug in our box

While visions of you choosing this gift rocked our socks

When in the parking lot arose such a clatter

We sprang from Threadpit to see what was the matter

What to my bloodshot eyes should appear,

But a huge freakin’ sleigh and eight god damn reindeer!

With a tattooed sleigh driver just released from the can

We knew in a moment- it must be the mailman!

Faster than rockets his reindeers they came

As he whistled, and whipped them, and called them by name;

“Now, Flasher! now, Smasher! now, Bob and Nixen! On Douche! On Gimpy! On, Stalin and Blister!

I’m meeting a smokin’ hot elf for last call

So grab that damn package and let’s freakin’ haul!

To: <DestinationAddress>!

Over the projects with deliveries they flew,

With a sleigh chock full of tees and empty cans too.

Soon- if you listen- you just might hear

Your package arrive, smelling like beer

It’s not breaking and entering if he’s jolly (or drunk);

So don’t call the cops- cause he’s got your junk

A bundle of tee’s will be flung on his back!

(We know you can’t wait to get your paws on his sack)

We’ll be thinking of you with your hands on our junk,

Wrapping it up, while we’re getting drunk!

You won’t have to send even one lame ass card

Cause all of your gifts are gonna rock- hard

So from us to you, thanks for buying our shit!

(You can always exchange it if it doesn’t fit)

Go stuff your stockings and deck your damn tree

The holiday magic comes with each purchase for free.

Last Chance T-Shirts

We all know that a good t-shirt is a terrible thing to waste, but the truth of the matter is we’re having a bonfire soon and we need kindling. We figured since we sell t-shirts, why not use the shirts nobody has bought to fuel our fire dancing party? This is why we have created a “Last Chance” category to our website where you can go to buy tees that will otherwise burn, baby, burn! These designs have been with us a long time, and we’d much rather see you guys rockin’ them than see them going up in flames, so go grab these tees! It’s your last chance before they’re gone for-ev-errrr.

We already sold out of the “I Plan On Wearing Sandals For The Rest Of My Life” tee, so we would like to say Rest In Peace to that beloved design and hurry up so you don’t miss out on some of these bad boys:
