Wrong. "It's so bad" is a line from the 1989 movie "The Wizard", starring Fred Savage. The movie was basically one giant commercial for Nintendo's Power Glove and (upcoming game at the time) Super Mario Bros 3.
Youtube that, and you'll see the reference long predates AVGN, he was actually referencing the cheesy movie line as a joke. Trust me, this is coming from someone who saw the movie the day it came out, who also still owns his power glove.

Yes, it IS from The Wizard. Fer chrissakes the glove is even angled on the shirt the exact way Lucas was holding it when he said the line! These stupid youtube generation kids don't seem to realize that there WAS pop culture before the internet.
