Joe Stalin was a very learned Marxist/communist actually and wrote quite extensively on the subject. However, his contributions to the theory were mostly about authoritarianism and and attempt to forge what might be called a "slave society".
With that said, this shirt is pretty cool. The Soviet Union was forged as a geniune siezure of power by the masses, however, as in all societies, it was the leaders of men who corrupted it. Look into the Kronstadt rebellion and see that the idea of Workers control of the nation was a geniune desire for Russians, but that it was buried beneath the bureacracy that resulted. The last few writing Lenin wrote before he died concerned just this issue and how he felt the revolution was being lost because of it.

No CCCP is USSR in Cyrillic or in english Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. Each former nation like Ukraine and Belarus etc. was formed into an SSR these SSRs combined where the USSR. It is not that complicated.

I just like russian hockey, so im gonna wear this when I play hockey.... hmmm comparing this shirt/flag to the nazis is a bit shortminded. If im not mistaken, thanks to the russians we won world war 2, at least the european front when we did. Without their sacrifice it would have taken another 5 years or so.

The Soviets killed tens of millions of people. All the wars that america have been have resulted in far less civilian casualties as a result of their involvement.

In 1943 The USA and British Commonwealth faced less that 36 divisions of Germans on all fronts.
While in 1941 the USSR faced 190 divisions in Operation Barbarossa.
USSR won the European WW2, no one else.

WOW. some of the s**t posted here is so dumb i nearly wept at the thought of such stupidity actually existing. first of all, Stalin haters, sure he wasn't perfect, not by a long shot, but he lifted Russia out of poverty to become a superpower. how he went about this was definitely brutal, but it was effective. there was actually a poll in Russia where more than half the participants said they thought Stalin did more good than bad. as for swastikas, they were a symbol of peace in many areas before the Nazis adopted it. people need to lighten up about this s**t. its like the rebel flag being misconstrued as a racist symbol. it isn't. it is used more as a symbol of southern pride.

First of all, since when does pure communism support genocide?! Communismbwas formed by an idealist, Karl Marx, and pure communism has never been reached due to coorprate greed and the eliete. In one of karls statements, he regretted anybody using his forms of gov. For power (dictatorship) like china and Russia. If you truly are against this shirt, you are practicing your right as an American to have and voice your opinion. Let others voice theirs. They are not wrong for choosing to wear it.

I love when people say communism killed people when they mean Stalin killed people, or Mao's policies fucked up and people died. Really shows their ignorance. As a communist, I hate Stalin and consider myself a traditional Marxist-Leninist, and at the same time know enough to understand that comparing communism, a far-left ideology, to Nazism, a far-right ideology, is stupid.
